This explains, plainly, what Anchor does with the information you and the people you invite give it.
Anchor is a product of Decifer, based in the United Arab Emirates. We run the service at anchormytrip.com and are responsible for the information held in it.
When you create an account we collect your email address, and your name if you give one.
When you organise an event with us, we hold the information you and the people you invite choose to put into it. You decide what that is. We also keep ordinary technical records, such as the times you sign in, so the service works and stays secure.
To provide the service you asked for: to run your event, to show each person what applies to them, and to send messages you ask us to send.
To keep the service secure and working, and to meet our legal obligations.
People you invite to your event see what you allow them to see. Nobody outside your event sees it.
We use trusted companies to host the service, store its information, deliver email, and provide the assistant that answers questions inside your event. They act on our instructions and may only use the information to provide those services to us.
We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising.
We keep information for as long as your account and your events are open, and for as long afterwards as the law requires. Write to us and we will delete what we are able to delete.
You may ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us at the address below and we will respond.
If somebody has invited you to their event, that organiser decides what is recorded about you there. Ask them first, and write to us if they cannot help.
We set a small number of cookies so you stay signed in and the service works. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Our providers may store and process information in countries outside the one you live in. Wherever it is held, it is protected as described on this page.
An account holder is 16 or over. Anybody under 16 is connected to an adult's account rather than holding one alone: their details sit with that adult, who recorded them and answers for them.
If we change this policy we will change the date at the top of this page.
